A strong connection with Cap Ferret

As a child, I was lucky enough to spend all my summers in Lège-Cap Ferret, a beautiful peninsula with ten villages, bordered on one side by the Atlantic Ocean and on the other by the calm waters of the Arcachon basin.

I remembered an old local logo consisting of three coloured stripes: blue for the sea, yellow for the sand dunes, and green for the pine forest. In the centre stood the Cap Ferret lighthouse, proudly accompanied by a small white goat.

A legend and a pastoral symbol

This goat echoes the famous legend of the golden goat, well known in the Pays de Buch. It is said that at the end of the Hundred Years’ War, the English hid a golden goat in a secret location.
But it also recalls the pastoral reality of the region: in the past, goats grazed on the moors and provided the inhabitants with precious milk.

An eco-friendly reinterpretation

Drawing on these memories and this history, I created a modern reinterpretation of this historic logo for Mangrose.
This unique design is printed on eco-friendly organic T-shirts, manufactured in Europe, combining respect for the environment with a tribute to the heritage of Cap Ferret.
